Frequently asked questions
What counts as specialty equipment?
The site kit that does not fit a standard category, light towers, welding units, dust suppression, air receivers, aftercoolers and site distribution equipment.
Why buy it from a compressor supplier?
Because most of it exists to make the compressed air usable: cooling it, drying it, distributing it or suppressing what the tools throw up.
What is a site aftercooler for?
Cooling and drying portable compressor air before it reaches a blasting pot or paint gun. Without one, water goes straight into the work.
Do I need a site air receiver?
For pulsing loads, yes. A receiver steadies the supply and stops the compressor cycling itself to pieces on intermittent tool use.
What about dust suppression?
Water misting on breaking and cutting work. It is a health requirement in most jurisdictions now, not an optional courtesy to the neighbours.
Can you supply light towers and generators?
Yes, as part of a site package. Most contractors would rather have one supplier and one service contact than four.
Is it available for hire?
Yes, most of it, and that is how the majority of this equipment moves. It is used intensively for short periods.
Do you deliver and set up?
Yes, including hoses, couplings, distribution manifolds and the connections between everything. Delivered as a working set-up, not a pile of parts.
What safety documentation comes with it?
Test certificates, inspection records and operating instructions in the languages your crew reads. That last part matters more than people expect.
