Portable compressor service
Mobile engineers who service the machine where it is working.

Servicing where the machine works
A site compressor cannot come to a workshop for a filter change. Taking it off site costs a day of transport at each end and, on a busy job, that is not acceptable.
Our mobile service vans carry filters, oil, belts and the common failure parts for every machine we supply, so a routine service is done on site in about two hours.

What you get
Serviced on site
No transport, no downtime beyond the service itself.
Vans carry the parts
Filters, oil, belts and common failure items stocked on the vehicle.
Engine and compressor together
One visit covers both, rather than a separate engine dealer.
Fleet scheduling
For hire fleets we schedule against telemetry hours across all your sites.
Serviced where the machine is
On site, not in a workshop. A site compressor that has to travel for a service is a machine off hire, and that costs more than the service does.
The engineer brings the boxed kit for the interval, so the whole service happens in one visit rather than becoming a list of things to come back for.
Engine and airend are done together. Two visits for one machine is a scheduling failure, not a service policy.
- Serviced on site, not in a workshop
- Engine and airend on the same visit
- Boxed kits, nothing missed
- Fleet visits arranged in one trip
- Cover in every country we trade in
- Out of hours available on a plan
- Records kept per machine
- Works on other makes as well as ours
Intervals on a real site
Kits are built for two hundred and fifty, five hundred and one thousand hour intervals, and on a dusty site the intake filter belongs to the site rather than to the manual.
Dust is the enemy here in a way it never is in a plant room. We set the filter interval from what the machine actually breathes rather than from a published figure.
Fuel logged against running hours is the report that finds problems early, and on a hire fleet it is usually the first thing a customer asks us to set up.
- Kits at 250, 500 and 1,000 hours
- Intake filter interval set by the site
- Dust assessed rather than assumed
- Fuel logged against running hours
- Telemetry used to plan the visit
- Service countdown per machine
- Whole fleet planned in one schedule
- Report issued per machine
For hire fleets
We service hire fleets as fleets. One schedule, one visit plan, and a report per machine rather than a pile of separate jobs.
Telemetry tells us which machines are due before anyone rings, so the visit is planned around the site rather than around a calendar.
Off hire checks and damage reports are part of the service where a customer wants them, because that is where hire fleets lose money.
- Whole fleet on one schedule
- Visits planned from telemetry
- Report per machine, not per visit
- Off hire checks available
- Damage reporting with photographs
- Consumables stocked for the fleet
- Priority response under a plan
- Annual pricing agreed in advance
Frequently asked questions
What does a portable compressor service cover?
Engine and compressor together, oil, filters, separator, coolant, belts, safety valves and the chassis, brakes and lights if it is road-towed.
How often is it due?
Every 500 hours or six months, whichever comes first. On a dusty site the air filter usually needs attention long before the rest.
Do you come to site?
Yes, most portable work is done where the machine stands, because moving it costs the contractor more than the service does.
What kills these machines here?
Dust and heat. A blocked radiator or a collapsed intake filter will do more damage in a month than a year of ordinary running.
Can you service any brand of portable?
Yes, and any engine make behind it. We carry the common engine and compressor consumables on the van.
What about the chassis and brakes?
Included where the unit is road-towed. Overrun brakes, coupling wear, tyres and lights all get checked and written up.
How quickly can you attend a breakdown?
Same day within our main cities, next day elsewhere in the region. Contract customers are attended before ad-hoc calls.
Do you rebuild older units?
Yes: airend, engine, canopy and chassis. On a well-built machine a rebuild is often half the price of replacement.
What records do I get?
A signed service sheet with hours, readings, parts fitted and anything we recommend, so your fleet file and your hire customers are both covered.
Do you offer a fleet contract?
Yes, fixed price per machine per year across the fleet, with scheduled visits planned around your site programme.
